 Karen Knox Chair

Karen Knox

Karen has served on the Badgerland Council Board of Directors since 2009. A veteran educator, Karen retired as president of Southwest Wisconsin Technical College. Karen also sits on the Wisconsin Bank and Trust board and is active in her local PEO chapter and Lancaster Lions Club.

 Dr. Lori Berquam 1st Vice Chair

Dr. Lori Berquam

Lori has been a Girl Scout advocate since she worked as a camp counselor. She is Vice Provost for Student Life and Dean of Students at UW-Madison. In addition to her volunteer work with Badgerland Council,  Lori is also active in her neighborhood association and church.

             

 Dr. Vivian Littlefield 2nd Vice Chair

Dr. Vivian Littlefield

Vivian's distinguished career in medicine culminated with the establishment of the Littlefield Leadership Lecture. Created upon her retirement from UW-Madison, the honor pays tribute to a career that included the University of Colorado, University of Rochester, University of Kentucky Community College System and University of Wisconsin. Additional volunteer work includes the American Red Cross.
 

 Kathryn Anderson Secretary

Kathryn (Kitty) Anderson

Kitty is Chief Legal Counsel for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Kitty was an active Girl Scout throughout her childhood and was a long-time troop leader when her daughters were growing up. Kitty remains active in Girl Scouts today because of her deep commitment to the outcomes that the program delivers to girls today.

 Wendy Wink Treasurer

Wendy Wink

Wendy is the Executive Vice President for Educational Services at the Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities. Wendy is also active in Rotary of Madison, TEMPO and the Madison Civics Club.

 Heidi Eglash

Heidi Eglash
Term: 2013-2015

Heidi established Eglash Law Office, LLC in 2005. She is an active member of the State Bar of Wisconsin  and La Crosse County Bar Association, and she serves as a director, officer and volunteer to several Boards of Directors and community organizations.

 Cari Pohl-Henning

Cari Pohl-Henning
Term: 2013-2015

Cari is a financial advisor with Edward Jones in Janesville. She was key to developing Badgerland Council's ‘Girls Who Rock’ program, serving hundreds of girls in greater Beloit each school year. Cari is also involved with Stateline Boys and Girls Club.

 Agnes Hughes

Agnes Hughes
Term: 2013-2015

Agnes is a veteran Girl Scout volunteer. Prior to joining the Badgerland board, she served on the Girl Scouts’ Green Hills Council for eight years. She credits Girl Scouting for giving her daughter confidence, friendships and skills she needed for life. She's also a key member of Badgerland's One Tough Cookie Steering Committee.

 Meredith Kruse

Meredith Kruse
Term: 2014-2016

Meredith specializes working on construction projects for large public buildings. She is an active member in the National Association of Women in Construction and volunteers with the Madison Children’s Museum

 John Parkyn

John Parkyn
Term: 2014-2016

John runs his engineering consulting firm and also serves as President of the Wisconsin Association of Railroad Passengers and Chair of the Health and Human Services Division in the Wisconsin Conference of United Church of Christ. John is a pastor, a Boy Scout Cubmaster and former Girl Scout troop leader.

 Mike Slavish

Mike Slavish
Term: 2013-2015

Mike is president of Hovde Properties, a Madison-based real estate firm. He volunteered his professional acumen to Girl Scouts as a volunteer member of the Badgerland Council Long-Range Property Planning Committee before joining the board in 2013.

 Theresa Sztuczko

Theresa Sztuczko
Term: 2013-2015

Theresa is a financial analyst and strategist with American Family Insurance at its corporate headquarters in Madison. A childhood Girl Scout, Theresa has fond memories of summers spent at Girl Scout camp. Other volunteer work includes United Way, Women’s Business Resource Group and her children's school. 

 Margaret Utterback

Margaret Utterback
Term: 2014-2016

Maggie is Co-Chair of her firm’s Data Privacy and Security team and Chair of the Madison Corporate Services Group. She specializes in commercial finance, data privacy and security, and mergers and acquisitions. A member of the American Bar Association, Maggie sits on the board of the Children’s Theatre of Madison.
