Camp Black Hawk is a summer resident camp located near Antigo, Wisconsin northeast of Wausau. There are two lakes on the property and horses are housed on site during the summer. The resident camp operates June through August. Programs are usually one to two weeks in length and activity highlights include horseback riding, outdoor adventure programs, and waterfront activities such as swimming, sailing, canoeing, and kayaking in addition to troop camp sessions. The tents are taken down soon after the camp season and the lodge (dining hall and kitchen) is closed, but several buildings may remain open if reservations warrant.
Waunagon and Health Center are heated buildings with a small kitchen and bath/shower. Camp Black Hawk is a beautiful site all year round. Winter sports enthusiasts particularly enjoy this northern Wisconsin site. Reservations should be made by October to ensure the buildings are ready for use during the winter.
The Tent Units may be reserved during the summer season (June through August) if there are no programs or camps running at that time.
